Place of Origin: Village of Qîbar (Gundî Qîbar) – Afrin region
Marital Status: Single
Details of Disappearance:
Contact with Aziz Nazmi al-Din Khalil was lost on 12 December 2024 along the al-Tabqa road, under circumstances that remain unclear to date. Since the moment contact was lost, no confirmed information has been received regarding his fate or whereabouts. It remains unknown whether he has been detained, subjected to any form of violation, or went missing while traveling in that area.
As of the date of issuing this appeal, his fate remains completely unknown, and no official or unofficial entity has provided any clarification regarding his status or location.
The Kurdish Lawyers Union affirms that clarifying the fate of missing persons constitutes a legal obligation incumbent upon the relevant authorities, based on the rules of international human rights law and international humanitarian law, which criminalize enforced disappearance and guarantee individuals’ right to legal protection, as well as the right of their families to know their fate.
